Life

Frank O'Hara, a boy of Russell Joseph O'Hara & Katherine Broderick, was innate within Baltimore, grew up inside Massachusetts. He exposed piano at a New England Conservatory in Boston from 1941 to 1944. O'Hara served in the South Pacific & Japan as a sonarsman on the destroyer USS Nicholas in the period of Globe War II. He attended Harvard, where he roomed sustaining creative person Edward Gorey. At Harvard he experienced majored within music & did a bit of composing. When he besides wrote poetry, he was supplementary influenced by contemporary music, which was his foremost love, & ocular art. He did stand preferred poets: Arthur Rimbaud, Stephane Mallarmé, Boris Pasternak, and Vladimir Mayakovsky. When at Harvard, O'Hara met John Ashbery & began publishing verse form in the Harvard Advocate. Despite his love for music, O'Harthe changed his major & left Harvard around 1950 sustaining a degree around English. He so attended grad school at a University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, & standard his M.The. within 1951. That fall O'Hara go into an flat within New York City. He was presently listed at a front desk of the Museum of Modern Art and began to write seriously.

O'Hara move in the art globe, working as a reviewer for Art News and curator for the Museum of Modern Art. He was as well friends by owning artists like Willem de Kooning, Larry Rivers, and Bill Berkson. O'Harthe died inside a freak accident on Fire Island. Work
